Relations with Local Communities
We are dedicated to utilizing Haneda Airport as a venue to contribute to regional revitalization and give back to the local community.

The success of our Group hinges on maintaining good relations with local communities and business partners, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and especially our base in Ota Ward. Given that our operations are supported by frequent travel between regional cities and the Tokyo metropolitan area, we are committed to fully utilizing the potential of Haneda Airport’s location. Our efforts are geared toward fostering interactions with and promoting the attractions of local and regional communities.
Contributing to Local Communities
Airport Tour Programs

Our Group’s Haneda Airport Tour Program hosts students from schools in the nearby communities. The tour provides an overview of Haneda Airport and introduces the diverse professions and roles that contribute to the smooth operation of the airport. By showcasing its appeal, the program seeks to inspire the workforce of the next generation, encouraging them to consider careers in airport services.
Participating in the Operation of Haneda Innovation City

Haneda Innovation City (HICity), located adjacent to Haneda Airport, is a large-scale multipurpose complex with diverse applications. Occupying an approximately 5.9-hectare site with a total floor area exceeding 130,000 m2, it is operated by Haneda Mirai Development Co., Ltd. Our company is involved in the operation of the area in partnership with Ota Ward as part of a public-private project. The location of HICity, which is on the former site of Haneda Airport, holds much of Ota Ward’s history. Haneda Airport has always developed along with the local support of Ota Ward.
Moving forward, we intend to help fulfill the aspirations of Ota Ward through our contributions to HICity, striving to enhance the value of Haneda Airport along with the Haneda district.
R&D center to collaborate with industries, solve airport issues
“terminal.0 HANEDA”

At the end of February 2024, we opened terminal.0 HANEDA within Haneda Innovation
City. As an R&D and co-working base that conducts research and development of solutions that contribute to boosting airport value, we collaborate cross-sectionally with highly specialized companies and organizations. We aim to spread the results we have created to each terminal at Haneda Airport, as well as to airports nationwide and around the world.
Exchange with Local Communities
Local Promotional Events

In collaboration with airlines and local governments nationwide, we use Haneda Airport as a venue for promotional events, enabling us to showcase the unique appeal of local regions. Our efforts will continue to contribute to regional revitalization, promoting tourism, and facilitating the distribution of local specialty products.
Collaboration with domestic and international airports and local governments

To further enhance airport functions through mutual cooperation across various areas of airport operations, we have concluded cooperation agreements with domestic and international airports and local governments. As part of this effort, we have signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with Naha Airport Building Co., Ltd. The two companies will build a closer relationship, actively exchange opinions and share information, and work towards strengthening airport functions, resolving various issues, and achieving corporate growth.
As an initiative based on this comprehensive cooperation, we held the "Grand Okinawa Fair in Haneda Airport" at the event space in Terminal 1 and at the Haneda Sanchokukan.
Development of Haneda Sanchokukan

The "Haneda Sanchokukan", which opened in Terminal 1, is a direct sales business that combines retail, food and beverage, and services. Under the theme of "Discover Japan. Discover Japan at Haneda", it sells fresh primary products and unique products from all over Japan. In addition, the open kitchen and eat-in area offer food menus such as smoothies and set meals using seasonal local ingredients.
The event space conducts promotions in collaboration with local governments nationwide, showcasing the "food, tourism, and living" attractions of 1,718 municipalities across the country.
