World's Best Airport Cleanliness – First Place:Domestic and International Terminals at Haneda
At the World Airport Awards 2016 held by Skytrax1 of the UK, the domestic terminals at Tokyo International Airport Haneda were awarded first place in the World’s Best Domestic Airport category for the fourth year in a row, and Haneda’s domestic and international terminals2 were presented with first place in the World's Best Airport Cleanliness category.
Haneda’s domestic terminals impressed the judges in the World’s Best Domestic Airport category for their ease of use and ease of access among other merits.
In the World's Best Airport Cleanliness category, Haneda’s domestic and international terminals won awards for two consecutive years in 2013 and 2014, and it was thanks to even greater efforts on the part of all employees working at Haneda that the terminals’ cleanliness and comfort made a good impression once again, leading to this year’s award.
This year, Haneda also moved up in the World’s Best Airport ranking, an overall airport assessment, to fourth place from last year’s fifth place.
